This is the first time in recent years (if at all) that Clark has had his own day during TCM’s annual Summer Under the Stars festival. Strange Interlude and They Met in Bombay in particular are rare for them to show, so make sure you tune in! And make sure you check out TCM’s Summer Under the Stars section.
Lots of updates around here recently:
Film pages have been added for Red Dust, Polly of the Circus and Night Nurse.
I have converted the articles in the Article Archive into pdf files, which makes them much easier to read. I’ve also added three new articles, all Carole Lombard related–one on a prowler that broke into the Gables’ home, one on Clark’s impending divorce from Ria, and one magazine article about Clark and Carole waiting on the divorce. They are all marked as “new” so check them out.
The Photo Gallery has a lot of additions. I recently came across a scrapbook from the 1930’s that a girl kept who had a slight (ahem) obsession with Mr. Gable. The articles and pictures she clipped are extremely rare and I am thrilled to be able to share them. Here’s a sample:
I have also changed the settings of the gallery so that you must log in and create a username and password to view all of the pictures. So please register so you can behold all the new pictures!
Happy Gable Watching!
