My favorite Gable and Harlow film is “Red Dust” (1932). It is fun, witty, smart, and sexy. The chemistry between Gable and Harlow is sizzling. You just can’t get better than that!

My favorite Harlow/Gable-movie is “Hold Your Man” (1933). It’s really underrated in my opinion, a great Pre-Code.

My favorite Clark Gable and Jean Harlow movie is “China Seas.”
They are both wonderful together. It really has it all with the pirates and then Gable being tortured but still not telling them where the gold is!
Katie
Red Dust! For sure!
I will also post this on my podcast’s Facebook page, The Scarlett Olive.

I actually don’t have a favorite Gable/Harlow film because I haven’t seen any! Though, this will change soon because TCM is showing several in the next few weeks. My favorite Harlow film, so far, is Three Wise Girls.

I admired Jean Harlow’s exquisite picture “Libeled Lady”. Her poignant role sustained the entire movie.

Red Dust without a question, but I like all of their films together … it is just hard to watch Sartaoga knowing how ill she is and that she died before it was completed.
Angela
Red Dust. The chemistry between Gable and Harlow is just insane! Wife Vs. Secretary comes in a very close second, though.

Red Dust. Definitely Red Dust.

Red Dust is my favorite because Clark and Jean are so hot together in the film. The movie studios must have thought so too, because they remade the film years later as Mogambo. Ava Gardner, awesome as she was, couldn’t touch Harlow, and Gable and Gardner weren’t as hot as Gable and Harlow. The Blonde Bombshell rocked.

Another vote for Red Dust. That is definitely one of the hottest pre-code films I’ve ever seen – Jean Harlow and Clark Gable have unbelievable chemistry.
Debbie
Without a doubt, Red Dust!
Doug Ford
Tough question, but for me it has to be Red Dust.

Oh my favorite movie with Jean Harlow and Clark Gable is China Seas. You can tell she really loves him in that movie even though he’s so mean to her. I love Saratoga too, but it’s really sad to watch and Hold Your Man, oh another great movie!!!

I would hsve to say “Red Dust”. Knowing that Jean had just recently lost her husband, Paul Bern from suicide/murder, shows what a true professional she was. It is no wonder that she was held in such high regard by everyone. My favorite seen is when she is reading to Clark while he recuperates from his gunshot. She lovingly refers to him as “Fred” and he playfully touches her leg. They really had chemistry and a deep affection for each other.
Rose
Wife vs Secretary. One of the breeziest roles she ever played. The look on her face as she watches the two lovers in Cuba is so poignant.

My favourite Gable/Harlow movie is Red Dust one of the best movies of the 30’s. I love China Seas too 🙂

I chose Hold Your Man, because it shows a complete Harlow, tender, insecure, loyal,a little bit naughty and redeemed. She also could fight for herself, and had humor,as well as a light touch.
Heather
I love Wife vs. Secretary!

My has to be Wife Vs. Secretary. Thanks for the chance.
