Clark Gable is never happy making love stories, so he should be pleased that his next comes up a he-man opus, Across the Wide Missouri. The story is by Bernard De Voto, Pulitizer Prise winning historiical novelist, and Talbot Jennings is already at work on the script. Right now Clark is in Oregon roughing it on his Rogue River farm.

Interesting that this was printed in 1948, as Clark didn’t make Across the Wide Missouri until 1951.
