I know Clark found a measure of peace with Kay in the last few years of his life, but I’ve often wondered if he would have married her in 1955 if she had not gotten pregnant at that time. Maybe the pregnancy (although there was ultimately a miscarriage) was the push he needed to take the plunge into marriage one last time?
I have often wondered the same- or even if he did find peace with Kay. It’s terrible to bash Kay as I do- because she was probably the only other woman who ever figured out the formula for Clark and you can tell she is over the moon about him, but you can still see moments where he is somewhere else – obviously looking for Carole.
